The EF-6000 is the replacement cartridge for the EF-6000 Drinking Water System.  

How do I know it's time to change the filter?:

The EF-6000 is the largest of the three EF series water filters.  It has mega capacity - 6000 gallons!  That's a lot of water.  Depending on how often you use it, what kind of water pressure you have in your home and the quality of water in your neighborhood, you will easily get more than 12 months, more likely you will get two years, so just keep an eye on the flow rate.  When it gets too slow, it's time to change the filter. And remember, filter life can change from one year to next because our water quality is changing all the time.  

What matters most is knowing that regardless of the water quality going into the water filter, the quality coming out will always be the same.  This is the promise that Everpure delivers on and that is why it is so important to only buy a water filter that is third party tested and certified by NSF. 

NSF Certification:

This drinking water system is third party tested and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for Std. 42 & 53. Standard 53 is the most important as it certifies for the removal of parasitic cysts, such as Cryptosporidium, and Lead.  Read more about NSF.
