Which water filter cartridge can I use?

Once you have an Everpure system, there is a wide range of cartridges that you can use. This holds true whether you have one of our residential systems or a larger foodservice system.

Every new system is comprised of two main components:

  • a "QC" quick change head (can be a single, twin, triple or quad)
  • a water filter cartridge, or multiple cartridges, depending on the style of quick change head mentioned above

What are my options for replacement cartridges?

Regardless of the cartridge you start with, you can upgrade to a similar size cartridge that provides a different or enhanced level of filtration.  You also have the flexibility to upgrade to a longer cartridge as long as you have the room and an additional 2 1/2" clearance to drop down the cartridge.

Now there is one caveat and that is when it comes to upgrading from a 4-size to a 7-size cartridge.  In this case, you need to be able to purge water thru the new 7-size filter for a minimum of three minutes so you either need an activation valve already built in to your Everpure head or you need an existing valve or faucet that you can open up and let the water run. Many Everpure heads have a built-in activation valve for this purpose.  These heads have the number 7 in their description.  (QC7i single head as an example).  All of our twin, triple and quad heads are also equipped with this valve.  This same condition holds true when upgrading to an X-size cartridge.

Everpure cartridges come in 5 different sizes*:

  • 2-size - 12" long
  • 4-size - 16" long
  • 6-size - 20" long
  • 7-size - 24" long
  • X-size - 28" long
