Frequency of filter change:
When we are asked how long will a filter last, we have an quirky answer: 'How long is a piece of string'? We don't mean to be cheeky but it's a fair response (really)...because the reality is we don't know. The life of a filter depends on your incoming water pressure, how much you use it and how dirty your water is. These three variables are unique to you.
Everpure recommends changing a filter once a year, we like to suggest that you change it when the flow rate slows down to the point of being inconvenient. It's important to remember that our water quality is changing all the time. Even if you have your water tested, that is just a snapshot on that particular day, so don't be surprised if the frequency of cartridge change fluctuates from one year to the next; this is normal. On average, the cartridge in the H300 Water Filter lasts approx. one year so please consider that as a benchmark.
Good to the last drop!:
As the filter removes more and more particles of dirt and stuff, the flow starts to slow down, but the quality of the water coming out of the filter is as good as the first drop. This is the promise that Everpure delivers on and that is why it is so important to only buy a water filter that is third party tested and certified by NSF. Did you know that this filter removes particles down to 1/50,000th of an inch? That's the same as 1/2 micron. The human eye can only see down to 40 microns.
NSF Certification:
This drinking water system is third party tested and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for Std. 42 & 53. The nitty gritty details can be found on the product spec sheet found below. Standard 53 is the most important as it certifies for the removal of parasitic cysts, such as Cryptosporidium, and Lead.
