The ultimate in convenience of great tasting water, at your fingertips, for pennies a day. The EF1500 offers a direct plumbing option to your existing kitchen faucet or any other faucet in your home.

No longer do you need to drill your counter top and install a dedicated faucet.  This saves time and money and provides a much cleaner look on your counter top or kitchen island.  It also means that you can install this system anytime; it's a simple and quick retrofit onto your cold water line under your kitchen sink.

A drinking water system is one of those things that once you have it, you'll wonder why you waited so long.  Your palette will also become very attuned to the taste of water wherever you go because you are drinking such clean water at home. You will begin to notice how chlorinated water tastes; it's not pretty not to mention harmful to your health.

Chlorine is a carcinogen and while you might just be ingesting a small amount of it in unfiltered tap water, on a daily basis, it eventually adds up.  What are the two things that we all universally consume?  Air and Water. While we might have a hard time improving the air we breathe, we can do something about the water we drink. We can also do our part for the environment and reduce the plastic in our landfills and oceans.

Cost of Ownership:

Let's say that a 500 ml. bottle costs just 10 cents a bottle, and this system is the equivalent of 11,360 bottles, that's equal to spending $1,136.00 on bottled water (11,360 x 10 cents) as compared to $148.00 for this system.  And that's just for the first year.  In the second year, the replacement cartridge cost just $64.00.

Let's do the math - this system is rated for 1,500 gallons:

  • Cost of ownership for the first year is $148.00 divided by 1500 = 0.098 cents a gallon.
  • Every year after is $64.00 divided by 1500 = 0.043 cents a gallon.

Installation:

You do not need to call a plumber, you can do this!  If you do choose to use an installer, a handyman will do. In less than 30 minutes, you'll be enjoying and cooking with awesome water.

NSF Certification:

This drinking water system is third party tested and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for Std. 42 & 53. Please refer to the system spec sheet for a detailed listing of NSF certifications. Standard 53 is the most important as it certifies for the removal of parasitic cysts, such as Cryptosporidium, and Lead.  Read more about NSF.

NSF Certified Performance Claims:

  • Lead
  • Parasitic cysts
  • Chlorine off taste and odors
  • Particulate down to 1/50,000th of an inch
  • Scale build-up in kettles and coffee makers

        Keep Your System Working Optimally:

We recommend changing this filter on an annual basis or when the flow rate becomes inconveniently slow. Our water quality is changing all the time.  Even if you have your water tested, that is just a snapshot on that particular day, so don't be surprised if the frequency of cartridge change fluctuates from one year to the next; this is normal.

What matters most is knowing that regardless of the water quality going into the water filter, the quality coming out will always be the same.  This is the promise that Everpure delivers on and that is why it is so important to only buy a water filter that is third party tested and certified by NSF. Without NSF, the manufacturer can make whatever claims they want.

All Everpure residential systems and cartridges include a Time strip filter monitor to remind you when it's time to replace the cartridge.  Remember to buy only genuine Everpure replacement cartridges to maintain your warranty.

        Teflon Tape

Excellent filter. Installation instructions should emphsize "multiple wrapping" of threads with teflon tape - at least four times around, or more - to prevent leaking.

        EF 1500 Connection Options

I have not yet installed the filter. I was having an issue finding the proper parts to connect the filter to the water supply and the filtered water fixture (a single fixture to fill glasses and pots for cooking water). The fittings and threads on the filter head are 3/8” NPT, the connections to the water supply and water fixture are 1/4” compression. I ended up having to go to a number of plumbing supply stores and big box stores to find the right combination of parts to make all the connections. This was time consuming and frustrating. Other than that I know this is a good product since I have had one previously. I look forward to having all the parts in one place and being able to complete the installation. Maybe Pentair should offer more options regarding the type and size of the connections.
